Since we Say The Children are our Future We Should be telling them How to Treat the Environment in a Sustainable Way

The children are our future that is what we say

But what will our future look like if we teach them how to treat the environment in a bad way

If they learn all the old bad habits we used to destroy nature in the past

How will they survive on the planet that is warming and how long will the earth’s resources last

Climate change is telling us that change is needed right now

And even the children will need to know about the change that is needed somehow

They will need to face a future that is different from what we knew

And it is not too early for them to start planning what to do

The collapse of food production could become a reality

And we need to stop and look at a better possibility

The zero waste plan is one that can help us to solve the problems

There are other solutions too, but will we pay attention to them?

Our children should not be facing a future that will cause them to be stressed out

When they are seeing violent hurricanes, wild fires and food shortages caused by drought

I believe there is no parent who would not want do something to change this grim outlook

But we are seeing the effects of climate change already and facts are written in many books

But if we could start telling the children about the things they can do to protect the environment

We would be helping them to plan for a future that is filled with peace and contentment

And we would be working towards having a bright future

And the life we are living now would be so much better

When we spread the word about the need for more environmental care

We are helping a lot more people to be aware

Of the damage that is done when we litter the streets

And how the things we do can contribute to our own defeat

Is affecting farming and it will eventually affect us all

When farmers cannot sore water in the rainy season

And act as if there is no need for environmental care

Climate change is causing the sea level to rise

And we must find a way to open our eyes

Living on top of the water is not a good plan for us all

So let us not wait until our backs are against the wall

They might even be better than clay bricks, they seem to be very strong

If we can keep on making more things with plastic waste each day

After a while we will only find great things to say

As there will be no plastic on the seashore

And tourists will want to visit the beaches more

We shouldn’t stop discarding waste in the right way, we should be persistent

We should be thinking about the children and the kind of life we want them to live

A clean environment is a great gift that we can give

And when the children know how to protect the environment too

It will be easy for them to have experiences that are new

The Mangrove and Why it is Important

The destruction of the Mangrove is seen as a normal thing to do in many places on the earth

Development will bring more money so they say it is not important to think about their worth

Job creation and economic growth will lead to the loss of life and property

When hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones do more damage because people don’t know about their own reality

Sea grass and Mangroves are natures way of stabilizing the Shoreline

We replace Mangroves with Sea walls and think that is just fine

When baby fish have no where to survive eventually there will be no fish for us to eat

If we continue on this destructive path we are working towards our own defeat

Sea grasses and habitats are filled with many different organisms that needs protection

It is time for everyone on the planet to live with a new set of instructions

The adults made a mess because they were never told

That there are ecosystems that are more precious than the things that are bought and sold

But we can change the way things are done and protect the environment

We can tell the children how to go green and make good use of what we have when we make the right commitment

We have gone through lock downs and more crops will need to be planted

Climate Change is Happening and Our Actions Needs Changing Too- Time For us all To Do Something New

It is time for us to change how we shop

We should be supporting ecofriendly businesses non stop

If a supermarket has no section where you can use reusable containers they should be avoided

It is best for us to support businesses that have more options provided

We can reduce the amount of plastic that is being used when we use our own reusable containers at the Grocery Stores

Now that we know that burning plastic releases toxins in the air and we don’t want to contribute to that problem that causes people to be ill anymore

When less waste is burnt we reduce the amount toxins in the air, so let us act

And we should always tell the children about these facts

No more should we destroy forests and decide that we will not be replanting trees

Now that we know it is good for us to protect even the Bees

And if you think spreading the word about the need for environmental care is too hard for you to do
