When High Profits in the Fast Fashion Industry = Oppression and Devastation We should Make Plans to Change the Situation

Did you know what fast fashion is doing to the lives of some people and the environment?

It is increasing poverty and there is a high amount of suffering and discontentment

When workers live in a terrible way as land and water is destroyed

Chemicals cause skin diseases even when these people are unemployed

The models who are on the catwalk and the people who love to buy cheap clothes to wear and discard

Don’t seem to realise that they are causing the lives of poor people to be very hard

Modern slavery would never exist if more people would do research and decide to care

It is time for us to stop allowing them to cover our eyes so we can reduce the abuse

Now that we know that there are rich manufacturers who will always misuse

And no one stops to wonder if workers had hopes and dreams

There has been so much job loss during the pandemic

The many deaths, the illness and increased poverty has been tragic

However, we need to think of ways to rebuild so we won’t continue sinking

And when we find solutions a lot of stress can be replaced

Say Yes! To a Green Future Today

On a planet where the rich is in control and the environment gets less care each day

We need to change some of the things we do and say

If we say yes to a green future and change the way we act

We can do research and stop buying products from companies that ruin lives , that is a fact

When we reduce, reuse and recycle we might even find new ways to earn

We can change the reality on our planet when we decide that we want to learn

Life changes when we learn and earn in a new way

I see new leaders rising up as they try to show us how to see a brighter day

The leaders are young and worried about the future of the planet

There are some of them who have not even finished school as yet

They try to get the rich to listen and start caring about the poor

They are trying to help us to see that environmental care will give us a future that is secure

Food shortages and bad weather causes instability and poverty

It is worse when a farmer gives up and moves to live in a city

As the drought caused by climate change leaves him without crops

When those who earn from fossil fuel could simply decide to stop

If those leaders would stop depending on oil, they could stop destroying the planet

Humans could go extinct, and the thought of that should make us upset

If we don’t convince the rich to make better plans for the earth

After a while we will have nothing of worth

They are beginning to create an awesome solution

And when they decide to go green and implement the zero waste plan

They are showing the children the possibilities so they will know that they can

We won’t continue to act

Like the climate deniers who won’t face facts

As we know that using eco-friendly tips will solve problems

And we don’t need want to just sit and worry about them
