Overfishing and polluting has caused the Oceans to become less than what they should be
If they could be restored humans could benefit a lot more from the abundance of what Oceans offer for free
We can make the necessary changes and repair the damage that was done over the years
Since there is an organization that is being run by people who truly care
Restoration is always a good thing to do
When the ocean is unhealthy the fish we eat is unhealthy too
We should be doing more to protect the health of our environment
So we can plan for a future that is decent
It doesn’t matter how much wealth we have it can’t always give us life sometimes
And the things we do for the environment won’t cost us a dime
When more reducing, repairing, reusing and recycling is done
The battle against plastic and other forms of pollution can be won

So let us not be the the people who give up and say the problem will always be here
Now that even the children can learn about environmental care
We don’t need to allow them to continue destroying the planet
When solutions can help us to forget about the word regret

When we decide to make a start
Let us stop sabotaging ourselves and the children’s future today
We can turn things around, we can start learning about environmental protection in new ways
We can save the oceans and feed all the people who are starving out there each day

Yes, they could, if we cared enough.
Reminds me of a finding that disputed the old school idea that the sea couldn’t support a civilization: apparently the forerunner to the Incan empire build the first civilization between the Andes and the Pacific based on seafood, rather than agriculture? I can’t recall where I saw it, but I could make time to fish it up if you are interested, later?

This might be part of what I saw, but I don’t have time at the moment to follow up and verify: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/204195802_Early_Fishing_and_Inland_Monuments_Challenging_the_Maritime_Foundations_of_Andean_Civilization

Good post Denise 😊
Thank you so much for reading it Pooja, have a great day
Yes, we can all definitely to our part. One of the RE that is often left is out Re-Fuse! Say no to the single use plastic bag, utensils or whatever. Plan ahead and bring your own stuff when shopping or out for the day. Or purchase bulk food so there is less packaging. It’s frustrating when the big business insists on wrapping a tube of toothpaste in a cardboard box. It’s so not necessary.
Thanks for reading the post, I hope change will come one day, I see there are new ways to turn waste into energy now
