Big Industrial companies pollute the air while poverty rises in some places
When it would be so easy for the rich to put smiles on more faces
More kindness and compassion could change the situation
There is less pollution when small farmers find solutions
Those who only think about making huge profits hurt the rest
When the earth is warming they show no interest
They don’t expect flood waters to get to their doorsteps one day
They don’t even wonder if their children will live in a great way
Poor people are so stressed out when they lose their homes and their ability to earn
But the rich tycoons believe the tides will never turn
They don’t want to share what they have with the poor
They keep on building wealth when disaster is knocking at so many doors
I can only hope that one day the rich will say it is goods to care
Climate change and disaster is not good for anyone anywhere
The needs of the poor should always be considered when decisions are made
When they are homeless they should get more aid
And let us do more to spread the word about the importance of environmental protection
So our children can grow up and make better decisions
