There are too many cars on the roads

The people who drink toxic water are carrying a heavy load

We shouldn’t keep on polluting our air

It is time for us to spread the word everywhere

Tell the children about the need for environmental care

There are many people who can only see despair

Wake up now we have slept for too long

And now the Big Industries say we are not strong

They pollute the air and water and say they are not wrong

So they just keep on moving along

Wake up and say it is time for change

Let them think you are acting strange

Tell them that you will not sleep anymore

Tell them you want a future that is secure

Tell them that you want to see action and you want to see it now

Tell them the next generation should inherit a clean planet somehow

Tell them that they should wake up too

Because you are not the only one who will be feeling blue

When the hurricanes and the Typhoons come to town

And everything is knocked down
