With increased droughts and other weather events it is hard for some farmers to adapt to climate change
While those who are in denial say everything is normal, even though changes in weather pattern has been strange
Future food security could be undermined if farmers don’t find ways to adjust
While there are leaders who say and do nothing about it, people don’t know who to trust
Farming was a risky business even before the weather was so difficult to predict
Climate Change has been causing increased poverty, there are many people who it affects
When rain is expected at a certain time and farmers see drought instead
It won’t be long before their plants will be dead
We who are the consumers, should never be ignoring the farmers plight
It is time for us to build awareness as we encourage more people to treat the environment just right
It is easy to say climate action is not important and no change in our behavior is needed at this time
However, it is clear that the losses suffered by some farmers continue to climb
We wouldn’t want farmers to get frustrated and stop producing food
We should do all we can to apply climate solutions as we develop a new attitude
If we want our children to have a great life in the future we must do our part
Let us take another look at the climate solutions and decide to make a brand new start
We can reduce the amount of trash we send to the landfills, by reducing waste in many ways
It is time for us to see that scientists are trying to help us, when they tell us about changes we need to make
It would be good if we could try to do more for the environment, let us protect it, if only for the farmers sake
