A little boy cries when the trees are destroyed
He should be playing now, he should be overjoyed
But there are so many adults who have no interest in protecting the environment
They don’t think about how the future will be affected by what we do in the present
More adults could be concerned about environmental care
So that the children would have no need to fear
No need to worry about the animals that are going extinct each day
When trees are cut down so that businesses can increase profits in a different way

Managers can simply think about creating jobs that are eco friendly sometimes
So they won’t leave some persons poor when they don’t have the ability to earn a dime
As the soil and the rivers get polluted and unhealthy
As not everyone can be employed by the wealthy
Children grow up in poverty when the environment is not treated right
And it is time for us to put an end to their plight
