If we plan to have a future that is secure
Reducing the levels Carbon in the atmosphere looks like a good plan to implement
When more of Earths population simply believe that they can protect the environment
When we carpool and get to know our neighbours more
As we start thinking about how climate change affects the poor
We might see less droughts, and more water for crops to grow
Heatwaves and food shortage won’t cause so much sorrow
Sea level rise has been taking away beaches in many places
After a while children won’t be able to enjoy themselves, they will have sad faces
Many farmers are already facing a harsh reality when their crops die
And they find they need to increase the price of the little they have left, as people say it is too high
We are seeing more intense weather events already and more global warming is expected
There are serious consequences to face when ecosystems and peoples right to live a healthy life are not respected
So changing the way we educate our children is the best thing we can do now
If we want to see a change in the way the environment is treated, somehow
We say the children are the future and we should equip them with the information they need
Don’t wait until food shortages get worse and they can’t find a way to succeed
Greenhouse gases cause heat to be trapped on the earth and this can stop happening
We can change how we live, instead of just watching as our time here on earth keep shortening
