When people don’t know why trees are important

We only think about the furniture and other things we want

Global warming is happening and some folks don’t care

The hurricanes are getting more powerful every year

If children don’t learn about environmental care at all

Soon they will wonder why their backs are against the wall

We all need to learn about oxygen and where it comes from

So we can do the smart thing and don’t even pretend that we are dumb

Deforestation is a big problem on our planet today

Spread the word about it so that more persons will do things in a different way
