Can Climate Targets and Climate Action ever unite? We all can say climate targets have not been met over the years; and wonder what is being done? Since we all have a part to play in saving the planet. What if we decide to use environmental education for children as a tool to help children to prepare for a bright future, while adults keep on adding to the environmental solutions they already have. We could all be encouraged to believe we all can act in new ways, as we reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emission. While we keep on encouraging leaders to develop more pollution reduction policies and populations would begin learning how to use eco-friendly tips. Change in the way we plan for the reduction of pollution would happen eventually. We could force the fossil fuel industry to reduce production by getting together and reducing our use of their products, while we develop our economies in a sustainable way.
How Climate Action can Help us to Meet Climate Targets
Targets are limits set by policymakers and scientists as they plan to tackle climate change. These targets can be about their effort to place hard caps on greenhouse gas emissions or other goals for limiting Global warming. It is time for us to say more should be done to help more people to become the change we all need to see.
We can reduce annual green house gas emissions and avoid catastrophic changes to our planet. Even though It has been said that “we are on our way to climate hell with our foot still on the pedal”. This is happening because the politicians are only interested in growing economies and they are not convinced that greening an economy will lead to growth.
Increased Use of Technology and Increased Use of Fossil Fuels
Is it time for us to stop dreaming about having a green future? Since the politicians want to use technology to create jobs and the people who are in charge of the fossil fuel industry are willing to continue earning, as the destruction of the environment goes on.
With the growth of the of call centres that has provided many job opportunities for the young and the number of individuals who can now work from home on their computers. Politicians seem to be comfortable with the way their economies are growing in some places.
Will they ever make a greater effort make the switch to green energy?

Thinking of the Children and their Future
Should we continue to allow technology to rob our children of their future? We can find other ways to create jobs, now that we know that pollution was increased exponentially since the industrial revolution. We had to promote organic farming because of the high level of toxins in our food due to the use of chemicals. There are many other changes we can make to reduce our impact on the environment.
We could have more workers on farms removing weeds, using organic fertilizers, there could be a reduction in the use of these chemicals as weed killers would not be needed. Eventually we would see a reduction in the money we spend on entertainment and an increase in the cost of our food. There could be less food waste when people are acting responsibly, and more jobs will be created when more agro-processing is done. Green energy production can also create jobs and when more recycling is done we will reduce pollution and more individuals will find ways to start new recycling businesses and create more jobs in new and sustainable ways.
We need to think of the kind of future we want for both ourselves and our children. Does it make sense for us to earn all this money and then spend it to recover from the damage done by floods, hurricanes and respiratory diseases caused by air pollution?
Climate Action and Solutions
There is a lot of talk about climate action, but how many people are aware of the changes they need to make before they act? Is the media doing enough to inform people about the eco-friendly tips they can use to reduce pollution.
The Eco-kids project on this website has published children’s books with the environmental protection message in them. Children can now learn about plastic pollution reduction, tree planting, green energy and a number of eco-friendly tips. They can now begin reusing used plastic to make toys and gifts for friends and loved ones. They will be equipped with the information about the climate action they can take to save the planet. The adults who read these environmental children’s books for children will be learning a few tips as well. We can all change our habits together as we plan for a green future.
