Protect the Environment – Use Reusable Bags, cups and More

Dining at restaurants where reusable utensils are used is good for the environment. The use of plastic straws, knives, forks and spoons causes us to have more plastic waste to burn, which pollutes our air. In order to reduce waste we need to pay attention to these issues as we work towards having a clean and healthy environment.
It is also good for our children to practice using these utensils as well, so they won’t be embarrassed when they attend formal occasions and they don’t know what to do at the dining table.

Reusable Bags for Shopping

Using reusable bags when we shop can help to reduce the amount of plastic that gets into our oceans and seas. We will be doing more to protect our marine animals when we use less plastic bags. Burning these bags in the landfills produce toxic fumes that is bad for our health also. This is one more thing we can easily do to protect the environment and our health as well.
It is time for us to think about what happens to the environment when we use plastic bags. They don’t become a part of the soil until after a long time. This causes them to pile up and become a huge problem for the environment.

Reusable cups and bottles can help us to reduce the number of paper cups and plastic bottles we use. When we carry water from our homes in our own water bottles we will use less of the plastic bottles that we buy water in.
Using reusable cups when we buy coffee reduces the number of paper cups we use.

Taking reusable cups will help us to save our money, as we will spend less on water when we take our water from home instead of buying water everywhere we go. And we can also buy less coffee and juice when we go out. We will spend less on gasoline as well as we won’t be traveling to the malls and restaurants to buy juice, water and coffee as often as we did before.

Reducing the amount of plastic we use saves our environment in many ways, as it takes hundreds of years for plastic to disintegrate and it piles up in drains and causes flooding of our roads, which leads to the disintegration of roads which costs governments more for road repairs and increases taxation. We spend more on car repairs also when we are constantly driving through potholes. Added to all that when we allow the plastic to get to the oceans and the seas and marine animals eat it they die. We should not want to be hurting our marine animals when we can do more recycling reusing and reducing plastic. It is good for us to do more for our environment so we can reap the great rewards. However, somehow a lot of persons are not doing enough to protect the environment and a lot of plastic is in our drains, landfills and in the seas and oceans causing problems.
When we understand the problems that are caused by the wrong disposal of plastic waste and reduce, reuse or recycle plastic and other waste we will be working towards living in a clean and healthy environment. We will see less mosquito-bourne diseases being spread. Less sick marine creatures in our oceans and seas, less flooded and damaged roads, we will not need to worry if the fish we eat was eating plastic and if we will get sick after we eat them.

The Benefits of telling Children about Protecting the Environment

Increasing awareness about these issues is something we all need to do. Fun Writings and Things has been working on a project that will help every child to learn about the important issues that cause our environment to be unhealthy. This will help them to make better decisions about the way they use and discard plastic. They will know how important protecting the environment is, and they will be willing to help their parents with the simple things they can do to protect the environment. They will remind their parents about using reusable bags, carrying their own utensils to restaurants, using reusable straws, carrying reusable cups and bottles, they will be willing to carpool, willing to give away used clothes and toys, with composting and they will help to separate the waste.

Protecting the environment can become a fun activity when everyone in families knows all about the benefits of recycling, reusing and reducing plastic use, and families will be able to save money by making new things with waste and have a clean environment to live in. You can learn about the many things families can do with plastic waste and other waste material by watching videos like this one and others like it.

Plastic Bottles are Solar Bulbs too

When we Reuse plastic in every way we can, we can say we are showing mother earth how much we appreciate all the ways in which she contributes to our well being. Every day there are new inventions, as people try to use plastic in many ways to make a difference in the life of others. The new way of making Solar light bulbs in the Philippines has helped the people a lot. Take a look at the video, it might inspire you to invent something that is just as helpful as this.
The economy will grow in places where people have more light as light gives people an opportunity to use their ideas to generate incomes.

Being creative and helping people to lift themselves out of poverty is a great thing to do. Going green provides jobs for many people in poor countries and other countries as well. Being aware of the things we can do to protect the environment can change lives and make them so much better. Let’s do all we can to educate the kids about all that is being done as the environment is being protected, more and more each day. They will be encouraged to do their part, as they work towards having a bright future.
